Moths are as fascinating as butterflies.

Some moth caterpillars are absolutely fantastic. In general, there are a few differences between butterflies and moths.

In general:

  • Moths are less colorful
  • Moths are ‘hairy’ compared to butterflies
  • Moths fly at night
  • Moths roost with their wings open
  • Moth antennae are feathered in shape
  • Moths are attracted to lights at night
